I have finally found the perfect treat for my hands. Guess what, it’s again from The Body Shop, the queen of creams and moisturizers. I used to feel bad for my hands a lot because these little babies have to go through so much for me every day. They have to write blogs for me, hold my coffee mug and burn itself, put food into my mouth, hold my lipstick as I beautify my lips, so I really thought that my hardworking hands deserved a special gift. The Body Shop Glazed Apple Hand Cream is the perfect gift that you can pamper your hands with. Read on to see what I think about it 🙂

My Analysis of The Body Shop Glazed Apple Hand Cream
Many of us have to use a lot of water the whole day. Some of our work involves handling water for a considerable amount of the day. This incessant usage of water is actually detrimental for the hydration of our skin. The skin on the inside of our hands or even our face is very soft and sensitive and too much of water will dehydrate it very easily leaving it dry and rough. If not water, the freezing winters can very easily suck the moisture content of our body and leave us rough and itchy. Some of us also have very sensitive skin which react to chemicals or other daily usage products and tend to dry up to the point where rashes start to develop. So, just as we care for our face we should start caring for our hands and feet with the same gusto. The best option is to use a good hand and foot cream regularly.
The Body Shop Glazed Apple Hand Cream was and still is my one and only hand cream. It is a real darling and keeps my hands moisturized. I am not a sort of person who would apply hand creams as a routine, but I love to use it when my hands feel dry and really deserve a little hydrating. I purchased this last winter and I used it every time whenever the temperature would drop a few points and my hands would start reacting badly to it, turning red and dry.
The one thing that I loved about the product is that you can squeeze out a tiny amount and it will give your hand a fairly good coverage. A very little amount of this product is enough to keep your hands moisturized, and thus it lasts really long. Well, it should last long because, the price of the product was a real deterrent for me and I think that it is really really pricey. So, if someone doesn’t have a fancy about the fragrance of the hand cream, he/she would probably want to stick with low priced ones like Vaseline or Nivea.
How I apply The Body Shop Glazed Apple Hand Cream
Before I use the hand cream, I prepare luke warm water and dip my hands into it and keep them submerged for a few minutes. After I take out my hands, from the water, I use lime to exfoliate it before applying the cream. I find this process more effective compared to applying only the hand cream. Finally, I squeeze out a tiny portion of the hand cream and rub it over my hands. I generally do this before going to bed as I won’t be using my hands anymore. Also, I find my hands to be really soft when I wake up in the morning.
Color, Texture and Fragrance
The Body Shop Glazed Apple Hand Cream is pure white in color which I find is a good thing as many of us do not prefer certain colors. So, white is the perfect color for any cream.
This cream has a non-runny and medium consistency. It is non-sticky and spreads out quite well on rubbing. The cream is also non-greasy, unlike many other hand creams that has a lot of oil in it.
I am not a fan of strong scents but hopefully, the sweet apple scent of this cream is quite soothing.
Packaging
The Body Shop Glazed Apple Hand Cream comes in a small 30ml green tube that is too small for its price. Otherwise, the packaging is quite hygienic and easy to use.
My Final Word
This is an excellent quality hand cream with very good moisturization. My hands felt soft and hydrated after using it.The cream is excellent for night time usage as my hands feel moisturized and smells really good in the morning. Despite all the good qualities of this cream, I will not purchase it again because I don’t seriously think it’s worth spending so much on hand cream. Also, the quantity of the product is very less. So, I will try some other hand cream when I am done with this.
