MAC Plumful Lustre Lipstick

MAC Plumful Lustre Lipstick

Hey, Everybody 🙂

Here I am back with another MAC review. MAC really has the sweetest color range. It amazes me how MAC has a product for nearly every shade of color! I do own a lot of red lipsticks and many other pink ones from various brands but the MAC Plumful Lustre Lipstick is really a darling! If there is one lipstick that has found permanent residence in my purse, it is the MAC Plumful Lustre Lipstick.

My Analysis of MAC Plumful Lusre Lipstick

The MAC Plumful Lustre Lipstick has a color akin to a “blossoming rose-plum” with a lustre. The most favorite part of this shade of color is that it’s bold yet inoffensive. The color really does something to the overall brightness of your face. Just swipe some this lipstick on your lips and you will immediately see a change reflected on your face. This lipstick looks so great even with no other makeup on. If I am in a hurry and I do not have the time to decorate myself, I just go out with the neutral eyes look with a swipe or two of this MAC Plumful Lustre Lipstick.

The lipstick does not have an appreciable wear-time. I  guess lustre lipsticks don’t last as long as the matte ones but it realy does put up a good fight before gracefully fading out. The shine lasts for about two and a half hours on an average whereas the color hangs around for an hour and a half longer. So I would say that the approximate wear-time would be around three and a half to four hours. Generally, after having a cup of tea or even after lunch, the color fades somewhat lightly so I have to reapply.

Color, Texture, and Fragrance

MAC Plumful Lustre Lipstick has a very girly color. The pinky-plum/mauve shade is made to make you pretty in a matter of seconds. The lipstick has a medium pigmentation and the color is neither too dark nor too light. The shade is actually translucent, so it sort of combines your lip color along with the applied lip color. So, if your natural lip color is already pink, the application of this lipstick will create an even brighter plum-pink shade on your lips.

This a lustre finish lipstick so there is a lot of shine to it. The lipstick is really moisturizing on the lips and has a creamy texture. The best part of it is, MAC Plumful doesn’t cling on to any flaky patches on the lips and never settles on your lip lines. It is not at all drying on the lips and actually very easy and comfortable to wear.

Packaging

The MAC Plumful Lustre Lipstick comes in a classic MAC packaging. The black bullet shaped tube is elegant to the look and feel. The portion inside the lid is silvery in color with the letters MAC engraved on it. The packaging is thus classy and travel-friendly.

My Final Word

I will absolutely repurchase. This lipstick is one of the best pink/mauve/plum shades I own and I am not gonna let it go easy. Although the wear-time is not good, the lipstick has a gorgeous shade and is very moisturizing on the lips. The shade is extremely versatile and can be paired with any other nude lip-liners out there.

Stuff That Made Me Smile 🙂

  • The beautiful pink/plum color that is perfect for any time of the day.
  • The hydrating effect that it has on my lips.
  • The lustre finish lipstick gives your lips a beautiful shine.
  • Doesn’t settle in lips lines or exposes chapped lips.

Stuff That Made Me Frown 🙁

  • It’s a bit pricey.
  • The total wear-time is not commendable.
